Our summer study of the debates that occurred in the second through fifth centuries about the nature of the identify of Jesus concludes on Thursday, July 28, at 7 p.m. in the adult education classroom. Join us for our study of the "Jesus Wars." The topic is "The Eutychian Debate: Was Jesus a Unique 'Hybrid' Mix of God and Humanity?"

We will gather at 6:30 p.m. for an end-of-the-year Beach Party! We will roast hot dogs and s'mores, dig for treasure, have a dance party, and celebrate the end of the school year!
Please join us on Saturday, May 21 at 6 p.m. in the parish hall for a pot-luck supper to thank Mary Freund-Braun for her many years of service to our parish and to wish her, Paul, and Hayden all the best. Families with last names beginning with A-C are asked to bring vegetable dishes; families with last names beginning with D-Q are asked to bring meat dishes; families with last names beginning with R-S are asked to bring salads; and families with last names beginning with T-Z are asked to bring desserts.
It's almost here! Our week-long catechetical program for children (grades 1-5) and youth (grades 6-12) begins next week. The day session for children will be from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday. The evening session for youth will be from 7:30-9:45 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday. If you have not yet signed up, please complete a registration form (available on the table in the narthex, from the parish office, and from the parish website) and return it to the parish office no later than this Wednesday (June 15).
This weekend is the last weekend of religious education for Sunday morning religious education for children, youth, and adults until the fall. Thank you to all of our catechists who volunteer their time to help pass on their Catholic faith to our parishioners. Have a great summer!
On Saturday, May 14, at 6:00 p.m. in the parish hall, please come and enjoy a delicious spaghetti dinner made by our youth, a fun evening of fellowship, and an opportunity to help support our high school students as they raise money for their trip to the Steubenville Conference in Tucson in July. Dinner tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. There will also be a silent auction with items created by the youth! Tickets will be available for purchase after all Masses next weekend (May 7-8) or you can purchase tickets at the door. This is the last Steubenville fundraiser, so please help support our youth! They are looking forward to serving you!
If you are interested in becoming an altar server, or if you already are an altar server but need a “refresher” course on how to serve at Mass (especially with the changes Fr. Busch made), please attend the altar server training session this Saturday (May 21) at 10:30 a.m. in the church. The training session is open to all parishioners in grades 3-12.
Join us on Wednesday, May 18, for Mass at 6:00 p.m. in the church, followed by a great meal in the parish hall. The intermediate/middle school activity is entitled “Where The Wild Things Are,” which includes building forts and discussing the best ways to use the gift of freedom that God gives to all human persons. High school students will have a cookie-making contest, followed by a discussion on how to use our freedom to realize the happiness and fulfillment God wants us to experience in our lives. The St. Ann’s Knights of Columbus will be providing a rose to each mother after all Masses next weekend. They also will have roses available for purchase after all Masses next weekend, with the proceeds going to the Amarillo Agency for women. Thank you to the Knights for honoring the mothers of our parish and for supporting the work of the Amarillo Agency for Women!
Last weekend’s spaghetti supper was a great success! We raised almost $4,000 for the trip to the Steubenville Conference in Tucson this summer. Thank you so much to everyone who supported this fundraiser by purchasing tickets, bidding on silent auction items, and/or helping to prepare the meal, set up, and clean up! Please know how much the young people of our parish appreciate your generosity!
All high school graduates are invited to participate in next Sunday’s Baccalaureate Mass at 11:15 a.m. Please meet in the chapel at 10:55 a.m. in your cap and gown!
Next month, parishioners will elect two new members to the Pastoral Council, each of whom will serve a three-year term. If you feel called to serve on the Pastoral Council and would like to be a candidate for one of these positions, please call Debbie at the parish office (655-3302) before Friday, May 6 . The Pastoral Council meets 5-6 times a year, usually on a Tuesday evening.
