Our parish Lenten mission, featuring Br. Casey Cole, OFM, as our preacher, begins this Wednesday evening (March 20) at 7 p.m. in the church. The three-night mission continues on Thursday and Friday evenings at the same time. Please join us as Br. Casey helps us to reflect on the mystery of salvation from a Franciscan perspective. See you there! There also will be an opportunity to celebrate the Sacrament of Penance on Friday from 6-6:45 p.m.
A 2011 graduate of Furman University with a degree in religious studies and poverty studies, he made his solemn profession in the Order of Friars Minor (Franciscans) in 2017 and was ordained a deacon in March of 2018. He is completing his graduate studies in theology at the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago and will be ordained a priest this summer. He is also the author of Called: What Happens After Saying Yes to God.Brother Casey will give a special presentation to college students at the CSC on Friday, March 22, from 1-4 p.m. (The Catholic Student Center is located at 2610 4th Ave.)
